Antisocial Momma?

anti-social momma

Well, I guess I'm not antisocial, really. Perhaps just a little shy. And so it was yesterday, at 6:15 p.m., when I began dilly-dallying for the school's first PTO meeting of the year. Which I had been anticipating for weeks. Couldn't wait to go. But here I was at 6:15 - when the meeting started at 6:30 - helping McKenna with her homework and thinking, "Yeah, I'm not going." I'd go birthday shopping instead.

Pneumonia, February and daffodils!

So poor McKenna had pneumonia last month. Ugh. The poor thing had such a high fever – it would soar to 103 at night – and a hacking cough and was just so listless and totally not interested in food. Anyone who knows McKenna knows that she is 1) always running around with her chipmunks, 2) drawing, 3) reading or 4) sipping or nibbling on something. So this was just so not her.

About Me

For as long as I remember, I’ve loved words. I love to read them, write them, pluck them from a brimming pile and polish them into gleaming prose. Everyone has a story, and it’s my job to ferret it out, whether the subject is a nationally known artist, a hometown Scrabble champion or local restaurateur.
